At the Sept. 5 regular meeting the Village of South Range approved payment of bills totaling $64,335.01 (old bills $46,600.99; new bills $17,674.02) after President Eakin asked for questions; Trustee Bonini moved and Trustee Saaranen supported the payment motion, which passed unanimously among those present.
The council also approved a $500 donation to the Adams Township School District Foundation and supported a Keweenaw Snowmobile Club request to place a port-a-potty in the ballfield parking lot, contingent on the club doing spring clean-up and the placement of 'NO Overnight Parking' signs by the village. Both motions passed with all ayes recorded.
