Village approves 3-year loan for new Caterpillar loader; delivery scheduled Oct. 7

Trustee Korby moved and the council approved pursuing a three-year loan with Miners State Bank to finance a new Caterpillar loader. The motion passed unanimously. Trustee Marier then moved to authorize four signatories for the loan resolution—George Eakin, Lindsay Balma, Cody Bonini, and Kristen Archambeau—which the council approved.
Street Commissioner Burkman told the council the new CAT loader is due to be delivered on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, and a vendor representative will review the equipment on Oct. 9. Clerk Archambeau said the annual insurance update is delayed pending the new loader and will be ready at the Nov. 2024 meeting.
