“I've seen them both… I think we're gonna have to go with the humps,” the Chair said, noting drainage and curb constraints that can make dips unsuitable on curbed streets. One resident and members recounted a near-miss where a visitor’s car nearly struck a pedestrian and killed a pet, underscoring safety concerns on the residential circle.
Board members agreed to investigate which devices are appropriate in constrained, curbed areas and to coordinate engineering work with the CHIPS-funded repaving schedule; staff will check whether CHIPS can pay for any required engineering and will report back.
