Nassau board reserves class-action PFAS proceeds for water filtration

The Village of Nassau board voted to set aside money from PFAS-related class-action receipts to a dedicated capital account that will be used, if needed, to install filtration or otherwise address PFAS contamination in the water system. “So this is the money that we received for the PFAS class action monies that have come in to the village, that we've agreed to segregate,” the Chair said during the discussion. The board said the funds will remain in a restricted account and not be spent except for PFAS-related measures.
