The Board of Trustees voted Oct. 30, 2024, to schedule a public hearing on Proposed Bill HN-24-05, a local law that would prohibit parking on public streets throughout Hewlett Neck. The hearing was set for Nov. 21, 2024 at 6:15 p.m., and the board directed publication of the required legal notice.
At the same meeting the board approved purchasing speed-limit signage (seven large signs at $300 each and ten small signs at $130 each) and discussed a proposed crosswalk at Browers Point Branch. Several related traffic and parking items, including a zoning amendment and security-patrol proposals, were tabled for later consideration.
