At its Sept. 16 meeting the Board approved renewal of the village insurance policies for 2024–2025 with Borg & Borg Insurance at a total cost of $14,668, and approved a separate crime policy at $450. "On motion by Mayor Blinder, seconded by Trustee Weinrib, and unanimously approved, the Board approved the renewal of the Village insurance policies for 2024/2025 to Borg & Borg Insurance at a cost of $14,668 for all policies and the crime policy at a price of $450.00," the minutes state.
The Board also approved Satty Levine & Ciacco CPA as village auditors for the year ending May 31, 2024 in accordance with their proposal dated Aug. 20, 2024, and authorized the Clerk/Treasurer to sign the representation letter. Finally, after reviewing the Treasurer's report and abstracts, the Board authorized payment of general fund claims totaling $45,835.83 as set forth in abstract #700. The Treasurer's cash-status report recorded an opening balance of $1,006,672.99 on Aug. 1, receipts of $44,850.43 and an ending balance (after disbursements) of $1,021,250.93 (post-adjustment $976,250.93).
