ICPHD reports May activity: food permits, water tests, radon kits and mosquito surveillance

Administrator Robin Allen reported Environmental Health issued 19 food permits, performed 11 water sample tests, distributed 15 radon test kits, tested 32 mosquito samples, recorded 4 animal bites (one in rabies treatment), and staff engaged 225 people at two wellness fairs. Senior Services has 211 clients enrolled.
At the June 2 meeting, ICPHD Administrator Robin Allen presented the May 2026 program summary to the board. The Environmental Health program issued 19 food permits, conducted 11 water sample tests, provided 15 radon test kits to residents, and tested 32 mosquito samples. Staff also recorded four animal bites in May, one of which has begun rabies treatment.
Allen said ICPHD staff interacted with 225 booth visitors during two local health and wellness fairs. She also reported the Senior Services Department currently has 211 clients enrolled in the community care program. The administrator distributed a written May program summary to board members for review.
