Hewlett Neck approves streetlight-post painting and additional reflectors

On Sept. 16 the Board approved contracting Bill Martinez Painting to repaint street light posts at a price not to exceed $75 per pole plus paint. The motion was carried unanimously. "On motion by Mayor Blinder, seconded by Trustee Weinrib and unanimously carried, the Board approved Bill Martinez Painting for the painting of the street light posts at a price not to exceed $75 per pole plus paint," the minutes record.
Mayor Moshe Blinder also reported that previously approved reflectors had been installed at the Dolphin Drive curve and moved to approve additional reflectors for Browers Point Branch and the corner of Adams Road; Trustee Russel Weinrib seconded that motion and it passed unanimously. The Board further directed the Village Clerk to obtain pricing from Welsbach Electric for installing additional arms and lighting on utility poles to expand lighting coverage. The minutes do not record the number of poles targeted or an installation timeline.
