Administrator: Iroquois County still on Illinois 'STOP Payment' list; audit expected soon

Robin Allen, administrator for the Iroquois County Public Health Department, told the board during the June 2 meeting that she has applied for all allocation-based grants currently available to the department. Allen said "Iroquois County, our parent organization, is still on the 'Illinois STOP Payment' list," and that the county board implied the 2024 audit should be completed in the next two weeks.
Allen said she will continue grant applications as opportunities arise, but noted that several large grants are ending and that total grant funding will be down for FY2027. The comment prompted ongoing reconciliation work between the health department and the county finance office, according to the minutes.
