The superintendent reported progress on bus deliveries—two new buses are pending camera installation and another bus (number 529) was noted as in transit. The district continues recruiting bus drivers, classroom aides, and cafeteria staff.
Board members also discussed plans to start a third meal program (beyond breakfast and lunch) at selected campuses: the high school and Johnson are expected to start at the beginning of school, while Scottsburg Elementary may begin a few weeks later. Administrators said students will need to remain on campus for the third meal service and principals are coordinating schedules to maximize participation.
Trustees and the superintendent noted continued updates will be provided as implementation details are finalized.
