The Kenyon-Wanamingo School District Board of Education voted on May 7, 2025 to extend an offer of employment for district superintendent to Patrick Heiderscheit, pending completion of a mutually agreeable contract and the board's review of a completed criminal background check. The motion was moved by Erica Aronson and seconded by Debb Paquin and passed by roll call, 6-0, with board member AJ Lindell absent.
Board members had conducted second-round interviews with finalists before deliberations. The motion specifies that the offer is contingent: the board will not finalize employment until both parties agree on contract language and the district has received and reviewed the candidate's criminal background check. The district recorded the action in its minutes and the meeting was adjourned after the vote. The minutes were certified by Debb Paquin, School Board Clerk.
