The motion was moved by Erica Aronson and seconded by Debb Paquin and passed by roll call, 6-0, with board member AJ Lindell absent.
Board members had conducted second-round interviews with finalists before deliberations. The motion specifies that the offer is contingent: the board will not finalize employment until both parties agree on contract language and the district has received and reviewed the candidate's criminal background check.
