Shandaken board accepts building inspector resignation, authorizes temporary code-enforcement hire

Following an executive session the board moved to accept the resignation of Donna Lemoine as building CEO and building inspector. The motion was seconded and approved by the board.
The board then authorized Supervisor Mansfield to advertise for, interview and fill a temporary code enforcement officer/building inspector position effective Aug. 3, 2026, with compensation set at $30 per hour for up to 20 hours per week and a not-to-exceed budget of $11,200 for the remainder of 2026. The board recorded the authorization as an action to ensure continued coverage of building- and code-enforcement duties while the hiring process proceeds.
