The Parks and Recreation Committee reported progress on volunteer projects and capital improvements, saying volunteers installed mulch and an ADA swing at Big Indian Park and are completing the Glenbrook playground ahead of new fencing. Committee members voted to have Doug Peltzmann take over the skate-park project and thanked volunteers who worked on a hot summer day.
Committee members said they will finalize and forward a 10-year plan for Rock Cut Preserve to DOT for approval and asked the board to review digital versions of plans before a virtual meeting with DOT. The committee scheduled future volunteer days and said it will post needs on social media and coordinate with volunteers for specific tasks.
The report emphasized ongoing community participation and asked residents to sign up via the parks project email; the committee said the dog-park sign installation and other maintenance tasks remain in progress.
