Calumet Council approves FY2025 budget amendments; manager says amended budget is balanced

The Calumet Village Council unanimously approved amendments to the FY2025 budget at a special meeting on Feb. 25, 2025. Manager Megan Haselden presented updated line items and revenue adjustments and said the amended plan is balanced.
Haselden told trustees the amendments reflect new expenses received since the prior meeting and a reimbursement from the Streets Fund to the General Fund for equipment use, “there is a state formula for figuring these costs,” and that snow money was expected to arrive within days. “The amended budget as presented reflects a balanced budget for FY2025,” she said. Trustee Matt L’Esperance moved to adopt the amendments and Trustee Pamela Que seconded; the roll call vote recorded Que, Smith, Ryan, Tercha, L’Esperance and Tarvis as yeas and the motion carried 6–0.
The council did not record dollar amounts or line‑by‑line totals in the minutes; Haselden noted only that updated numbers were shown in red on the submitted amendment documents. The council did not ask for further changes and took no separate implementation actions beyond the approval vote.
