Calumet manager outlines plans for 150th anniversary, block party set for Sept. 12-13

Village Manager Megan Haselden told the Calumet Village Council at its March 11 work session that the village is planning a 150th anniversary celebration centered on a Block Party on 6th Street on Sept. 12 and 13. She said the celebration will include collaborative events with the Calumet Theatre (125th anniversary) and the Calumet Golf Course (100th anniversary).
Haselden described additional community events tied to the anniversary and said the village will host an open house on March 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. as part of the commemoration. Council members were asked to provide input as planning continues and to coordinate with relevant partners, including the Historic District Commission for any downtown activities that affect historic properties.
