Public Works Supervisor Dustin Riggs updated the Parma City Council on June 9, 2026, saying staff and volunteers have been preparing the pool for opening and that Sunroc Construction should be close to finishing the 5th and 6th Street projects within about a week.
Dustin told the council a storm drain on Grove will be repaired with traffic control at Grove and Roswell, and chip sealing work is expected to begin around June 24. He also reported the RV dump was backed up and had to be snaked; city staff determined baby wipes in trailers were the primary cause. Dustin noted that an employee (Hunter) has given notice with an expected last day around June 22, 2026.
The council previously approved Sunroc Construction Pay Application #2 for the 5th and 6th Street Project in the amount of $64,708.84 as part of the consent agenda.
