Council approves fundraiser permit to help local student Tristan Scott

The Rangely Town Council approved a special-event permit for the Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation to hold a corn-tournament fundraiser at CNCC (Colorado room) on March 8 from 6–11 p.m. Foundation representative Ameren Hawkins told the council the event’s proceeds will be directed to Tristan Scott, a local senior who was seriously injured in an accident and needs a prosthetic.
"So our foundation is wanting to do our 1st ever tournament... our specific goal is to help raise funds for a local kiddo, Tristan Scott, who, as I'm sure you probably all know, was in a horrific accident," Hawkins said. The foundation representative said other funds support kids sports and that donor money will be earmarked to help Scott’s prosthetic and rehabilitation goals.
Council members moved and seconded approval of the permit and passed it by voice vote. The council thanked Hawkins and the foundation for organizing the fundraiser.
