CID board approves $973,011.25 notice of award for Highway 55 Underpass

"They've opened the bids. This is the, lowest bid, and so this is a notice of award to allow us to go ahead and enter into a contract with this vendor to begin the work," the district financial manager said, describing the procurement. The award covers the work to connect the two adjacent roadways to the underpass bridge and complete the project.
Board member May moved to approve the notice of award; the motion was seconded and carried on roll call. The district staff said the award will allow the district to enter a contract with the successful bidder and begin construction-related pay applications and reviews.
Next steps include finalizing the contract documents and processing pay applications through the district engineer and the district financial manager before payments are submitted to the trustee.
