Developers told to document septic changes; Department of Health review likely for food-service tenants

Applicant representatives told the board there are two existing septic systems on the property and that planned uses will reduce demand compared with the former daycare. "We did a calculation as far as the usages of the users that are going in versus what the day care center was with 45 children... the demand with the proposed users going in is gonna be significantly less than 45 children," Patty Brooks said.
A board member asked the applicant to locate the paperwork for recent septic work; another member recalled some septic modifications were done around 2021 and urged the applicant to provide those records. The board indicated that Department of Health and Ulster County planning reviews would be required where food service is involved and that the applicant should supply septic documentation as part of the application packet.
