Farms Lane residents ask Trappe to investigate clearing, night activity and blocked driveways on Lovers Lane property

Farms Lane resident Tish Blessing told the council that she and neighbors are "concerned over activity that is taking place on Mr. Morrison's property on Lovers Lane," saying workers had cut trees, construction equipment blocked the road during school hours, people were on the property after dark, and vehicles were blocking driveways and access to a fire hydrant and creating ruts when turning around.
Neighbor Matt Dunn said he was told the landowner planned to place storage units on the property, which is why the woods were being cleared. Attorney Lyndsey Ryan said Mr. Morrison had previously come before the Planning Commission about two years ago with an idea to subdivide the property but that "nothing ever came of it" and the Town had not received documentation of a current plan.
1st Sgt. Aita advised residents to call the police when the road or driveways are blocked or if they are uncomfortable about people on the property after dark; the Sheriff's department can respond and the Town said it would investigate possible violations and whether permits are required.
