Attorney Lyndsey Ryan told the council that "the Council has already approved the undertaking of these loans with Ordinance 5-2024; however this Resolution is required to close the USDA loan." President Newnam read the resolution's title and Commissioner Walter Chase seconded the motion to approve; the vote was unanimous.
The resolution is tied to the municipality's broader pumping station rehabilitation program; Ryan also said USDA loan closings for the project are scheduled for Feb. 19. The council previously authorized undertaking the loan under Ordinance 5-2024, and this resolution completes the paperwork needed to finalize the USDA financing.
