Council approves $7,500 amendment to Tetra Tech contract so city can pursue federal funding for intersection project

Public works staff told council that solicitation windows for regional federal funding programs (surface transportation block grant and CMAQ) opened and that the city could apply for those funds for the Centennial Road/Little Road intersection project. Staff said additional scope—specifically a level-of-service traffic analysis using highway capacity software—was not included in the original Tetra Tech scope and that Tetra Tech provided a proposal with Task 1 ($2,500) to prepare application materials and Task 2 (additional work if awarded).

Council adopted Ordinance No. 102-2026 to amend the Tetra Tech agreement and appropriate $7,500 to reflect the additional work performed and the city's need to be ready to submit a competitive federal grant application. Staff said if the project is funded, further engineering steps would follow under Task 2.
