"They can be full time, part time students... online or in person," the staff presenter said, adding that the corporate education partnership had awarded about $25,000 to roughly 30 people across partners in the last two years.
Staff said there is no cost to the city for the scholarship program and that, once the MOU is signed, the city will publicize the opportunity via an all-users email and include the program in onboarding materials for new hires. Council adopted Ordinance No. 99-2026 authorizing the mayor and finance director to execute the MOU.
