The Notus City Council directed staff to send comments to Canyon County regarding a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application for property at 21377 Boise River Road.
Mike Engles, representing the Notus Planning & Zoning Commission, told the council the commission had reviewed the Canyon County CUP application and "found no major impact or objections." Council members raised concerns to be included in the city's response: Councilman Rob Hartsock asked the applicant to cover loads; Councilwoman Lupita Connor opposed additional rock pits; Council President Steve Ahlborn asked that the natural landscape be restored; and Councilman Devin Krasowski highlighted the need to widen the turn radius at the intersection.
Councilman Devin Krasowski moved to send the council's comments to Canyon County, and Ahlborn seconded. A roll call vote was unanimous and the motion carried.
The council did not adopt a final statement in the minutes; the record indicates the city's comment packet will emphasize load covering, landscaping restoration, and intersection geometry concerns.
