Public works director Eric described the shop project scope and timing, saying the city's portion for a functional phase 1 would be roughly $2.2M with partners (including a fire district) contributing the remainder. "If we had a 2.2 that was in there, it would be a completed situation for phase 1... we are hoping to start turning dirt... in the late or early fall," he said. Staff also reported potential savings on Linder Road ($~251K in scope reductions plus other adjustments) and flagged reimbursements (for example, urban-redevelopment reimbursements tied to Old Park Place) that would reduce the effective city outlay as projects progress.
