Property owner Dan Henderson asked council to vacate a 12‑foot public utilities and drainage easement that bisects his lot at 2141 Saringa Street. Henderson said the easement, recorded on older plats, left the lot impractical to redevelop for a new home. Henderson told council he had obtained releases from eight potentially interested parties, including Idaho Power, Intermountain Gas, Veolia Water, CenturyLink/Lumen, Sparklight/CableOne, Eagle Sewer and the New Dry Creek Ditch Company.
Planning staff said Planning & Zoning unanimously recommended approval. Councilmember Kwame moved to approve the vacation; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll call. Staff noted site‑specific conditions in the record but described the matter as a standard easement vacation after utilities confirmed no objection.
