Board adopts annual fee schedule revisions including solid waste, jail and recorder fees

Schroeder said the county will remove the forfeited-property repurchase fee (state law changes), add a $100 registration fee for hemp edible retailers, codify a longstanding $20 TIF maintenance fee, increase a proposed jail event pay rate to $102 per hour per officer, propose a $1 per day firearm storage fee in the sheriff's office, and adjust solid waste nonresident fees and mattress/tire disposal rates.
Schroeder also described zoning and septic permit fee realignments — including making small deck/storage building permits a flat $100 and raising the minor-subdivision fee from $150 to $175 — and recommended recording a judicial-request removal fee up to $75 for the recorder's office. After discussion the board approved the fee schedule updates and a related resolution by voice vote; staff will publish the updated fee schedule and implement the new rates.
