Hewlett Neck ends patrol contract with Intuit, approves Blue Line Security agreement

On motion by Mayor Moshe Blinder, seconded by Trustee Russel Weinrib and adopted unanimously, the Board directed the Village Clerk to send notice of termination to Intuit, effective 10 working days after notice as provided in the agreement, and approved a contract with 3G Security/Blue Line to commence upon that termination. Under the approved terms, the contract will run through July 7, 2025 at a base rate of $30.61 per hour; the overtime hourly rate for holidays is $45.92 per the contract. The contract includes a two-year extension beginning July 8, 2025 and continuing through March 1, 2027 at the initial hourly rate, with a 3.5% increase effective March 1, 2026.
The Board also authorized the Mayor to execute the agreement once the Village Attorney approves the substance of the contract. The minutes record the motion and its unanimous passage but do not include competitive-bid details, vendor selection rationale, or estimated annual cost projections.
