Council approves $27,162 change order for Town Hall east wall and generator vibration work

Mary Cripe presented Change Order #1 with Ancon Construction for work on the Town Hall and Police Department east wall, including installing four 10x30 columns with base plates and gusset plates, anchors, vibration isolators around the generator pad and heat tape in gutters. "So, this change order is in the amount of $27,162," Mary said; council moved, seconded and approved the payment by voice vote.
Staff said public works will use town equipment to adjust grading near the wall to redirect water, limiting the contractor scope to structural and vibration mitigation work. The approval funds both the structural elements and the heat‑tracing work necessary to reduce ice buildup on the roofline.
