Board OKs Veteran's Park tree removal, winter parking ban and High Street parking change

The Rumford Board of Select Persons approved several public-works and parking measures on Nov. 6. Board members also voted 5-0 to change a no-parking area on High Street to read "No Parking here to Corner." In departmental updates, Roberts said crews are preparing winter equipment, replacing culverts on Isthmus Road, sweeping leaves and awaiting dump bodies from Canada before trucks are fully ready for winter operations.
