Board approves series of driveway extensions on St. Gregory Way

The Avon Board of Zoning and Building Appeals on July 1 approved multiple residential variance requests that allow homeowners on St. Gregory Way to extend their driveways’ concrete aprons to the street to improve garage access.
Applications from Nathan and Trisha Murray (4166 St. Gregory Way), Andrew and Meghan Ljubi (4154), Michael and Tiphanee Stemmer (4124), Dickpaul Singh (39184 Woodland Trail), Miriam Rizk (2432 Roxboro Street) and Gregory Sherwood (3975 Jaycox Road) each sought relief from C.O. 1262.08(c)(3) (Minimum Yard Requirement for Accessory Structures) to permit concrete to extend through the right-of-way to the street. Applicants presented site drawings or contractor testimony; Jason Tepes of Pristine Landscaping and other contractors confirmed there were no hydrants or obstructions in the proposed apron areas.
Board members asked only routine clarification questions about dimensions and inspection procedures. Zoning Enforcement Officer Jill Clements noted that exact measurements would be verified at time of pour and inspection. Every driveway request was approved by motion and recorded as unanimous "AYES." The decisions were procedural approvals of the variances; construction and any required permits will follow inspections and standard city procedures.
