The Council took up Bill 20 six-two 21, the Mu Lambda Foundation, Inc. Real Property Tax Exemption Act of 2026, on first reading. Chair Phil Mendelson read a written recusal from Councilmember Zachary Parker, who disclosed membership in the Mu Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and noted he would abstain from participation in that matter.
Chair Mendelson said the bill was reported out of the Committee of the Whole and moved the bill as first reading; with no discussion the ayes were recorded and the measure advanced on first reading with Councilmember Parker noted as recused and absent for that matter.
