Brad Gleason, Woodmoor's director of public safety, told the board that Reece Allen has been hired to replace Officer Sare and that Allen will be on his own starting next week following training provided by Chief Darrin Abbink. Gleason thanked Abbink for the training and indicated the new hire is performing well.
Gleason also warned residents that, because of dry conditions, all fireworks are strictly prohibited inside Woodmoor, whether or not they are legal at the state level; he said fines start at $5,000 for fireworks violations. The minutes record the advisory but do not indicate an enforcement change or an additional fine schedule adopted at the meeting.
