Council backs River East at Grandview homeownership relief on first reading

"We have now come to, a way to assist these residents that is budget neutral, through the HPAP, program, but still gives these residents ... a realistic path, to meaningful homeownership and intergenerational wealth," Robert White said. (Councilmember Robert White) He said the aim is closure and a path forward for affected households. Co‑sponsor Councilmember Tran White emphasized the human toll and urged colleagues' support. The council moved the bill and approved first reading unanimously.
