During the FY27 budget hearing, the Board reviewed Safety Campus infrastructure items presented by Animal Services. Luke Fields provided a CES/Gordian quote for high-security fencing and gates with a final package discussed near $95,000; commissioners prioritized fencing first and directed staff to include $95,000 for the fencing project in the county's infrastructure plan. Road improvements for the Safety Campus were discussed (estimated ~$40,000) but deferred for later consideration.
The Commission also adopted Resolution No. 2026-21 approving the county's capital asset listing and asked staff to document reasons for items placed on the disposal list going forward.
