Separately, the board approved Ordinance 26-30 updating the Boone County floodplain ordinance to language recommended by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR); staff emphasized keeping updated floodplain language is important for flood-insurance provisions. Staff said the floodplain language is similar to prior language but reflects IDNR-recommended updates.
