Staff proposed transferring $200,000 of previously earmarked CDBG funds to help the local match and noted the remainder of the local share may require bonding or other financing if the grant is awarded. Council members supported seeking the grant but asked staff to confirm jurisdictional responsibilities and the match strategy before finalizing the application (the current application window was Aug. 21).
