Resident says customers are blocking her mailbox; codes officer says village cannot correct it

Renee Hughes told the Holland Patent Village Board that vehicles belonging to patrons at a nearby business routinely block access to her mailbox, creating a recurring problem for her mail delivery and daily access. Codes Officer Boulerice responded that, based on the constraints explained to the Board, there is not anything the Village can do to force a correction but he offered possible solutions to Ms. Hughes. Trustee Brucker said he is awaiting a quote from McQuade & Bannigan for no-parking signs near the area; the Board did not record a formal motion to install signage during this meeting. The exchange occurred during public comment and no formal enforcement action was taken at the session.
