District building leaders updated the board on school activities and personnel plans. An elementary-school presenter (SEG 301) highlighted PTO events, a completed doors project that increased natural light, a room-parent initiative, Safety Week activities and a "Touch a Truck" event with first responders and a K-9 demonstration. The district also reported grade-level data meetings to guide instructional moves.
Middle- and high-school representatives reported spirit-week activities, ongoing interviews for two teacher-aide openings, and classroom observations. The high school representative said first-round interviews for the middle-school principal will begin Nov. 10 and that the district hopes the new principal could start in January. Administrators reiterated their use of CSTAG threat-assessment training and said they coordinate with law enforcement when incidents arise.
