Trustee Harris moved and Trustee Main seconded to set two public hearings on April 7, 2026: one at 6:00 p.m. on Local Law #2 to repeal the tax-cap override and a second at 6:05 p.m. to review and adopt the 2026–27 Village Budget. The motion also scheduled the Annual Business Meeting for April 7 at 6:30 p.m. The board voted unanimously in favor.
Clerk-Treasurer Kerry Hoffman told the board that staff had spent most of the month preparing the 2026–27 budget and had circulated a final draft. She also reported the village's Fiscal Stress Score improved to 0 for 2025, down from 3.3 in 2024 and 6.7 in 2023, which she described as the best possible score.
