The Village of Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Feb. 17 to adopt Local Law No. 1 of 2026, which overrides the 2% tax-levy limit established by General Municipal Law §3-c for the 2026–2027 village tax levy. The board opened the public hearing on the local law at 7:30 p.m., left it open briefly and, having received no public comment, closed the hearing at 7:51 p.m. before approving the measure.
Mayor Milne introduced the public hearing and the board proceeded by roll-call votes. Trustee Wagner moved to leave the hearing open and later Trustee Harris moved to close it; the board then approved the local law as presented with all members voting AYE. The public notice for the hearing stated copies of the proposed local law were available at the village office. The board did not record any public testimony opposing or supporting the override during the hearing.
