Supervisor William Namestnik relayed an email from Hopewell Fire Department President Greg Bouchard noting that the department has purchased a new truck that will be delivered in March and that municipal involvement is needed to obtain a discounted interest rate on financing. Namestnik said the town's involvement would not create any financial obligation for the Town of Hopewell.
The minutes record that the department will hold a public hearing and then provide the town with an affidavit; specifics of the financing arrangement, discounted rate, or lender were not included in the minutes and will be provided by the fire department at the Feb. 18 meeting.
