Faced with substantive discussion, minor content corrections and differing member views, the Planning Commission moved to table formal action on the Connect the Junction draft plan to its next meeting.
A commissioner moved to table the report so corrections could be made and all members could participate; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. "The motion to table the report until the planning commission's next meeting," a commissioner said, and the chair called the ayes. The vote passed with no recorded nays.
Staff confirmed pausing a formal endorsement would not slow ongoing work: consultant Framework said code drafting and other implementation tasks would continue and that more detailed LDC amendments and public hearings would follow this winter. The commission and council will revisit the report and consider acceptance, endorsement or adoption language at the next scheduled meeting.
