Holley mayoral appointments approved; trustees assigned department duties

At its July 12 organizational meeting the Holley Board of Trustees unanimously approved Mayor Mark Bower’s slate of appointments and confirmed trustee assignments for village departments, formalizing bank, newspaper and meeting schedules for fiscal year 2022–2023.
Mayor Mark E. Bower opened the July 12 organizational meeting and presented his appointments, which the board approved unanimously. The motion to confirm the mayor’s appointments — including Deputy Mayor Connie Nenni and Village Attorney John Sansone — was moved by Trustee James DeFilipps and seconded by Trustee Rochelle Moroz; the board recorded Ayes 5, Nays 0 and the motion carried.
The board also recorded a full village organization and staff listing and assigned trustees to department responsibilities: Trustee Nenni and Trustee Morriss for Electric & Water; Trustee Morriss and Trustee Moroz for Parks & Decoration; Trustee DeFilipps and Trustee Moroz for Street, Snow Plowing and Sanitation; Mayor Bower retained responsibility for the police department and publicity. The board designated Five Star Bank — Holley Office — as the official depository and Lake Country PennySaver as the legal newspaper for FY2022–2023. The regular board meeting time was set for the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
