The Zoning & Planning board voted 3-0 March 13 to approve an area variance for a property on East Ave (Tax ID 77.17-1-40.2). The motion, made by Penny Cole and seconded by Dani Garcia, passed with Sandy Heise, Penny Cole and Dani Garcia recorded as voting AYE.
Todd Andsley, who spoke on the plans and development, said the proposal "meet[s] all conditions per code other than 80-foot size instead of 100-feet," describing the requested change as a 20-foot variance and a small percentage of the lot overall. Board members reviewed the five standard variance criteria and concluded the change would not alter neighborhood character, posed no adverse physical or environmental impact, and was not a self-created problem.
The board opened and closed a public hearing during the meeting; a public comment was recorded in the minutes but the speaker was not identified in the transcript. Following discussion the board moved to approve the area variance for Tax ID 77.17-1-40.2. The variance was granted and recorded as "Motion Carried." The meeting adjourned at 5:34 PM.
