Holland Patent trustees approve routine business, set March 18 polling site

The Holland Patent Village Board met Jan. 8, 2026. Mayor Furlong called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and Trustees Brucker, Mann, McCann and Rosenburgh, Codes Officer Boulerice, Wastewater Superintendent West and Clerk/Treasurer Lynn Taylor were present.
Trustee Rosenburgh moved to approve the December 2025 minutes, and Trustee McCann seconded; the motion carried. The Treasurer presented the financial report, and a motion by Trustee Rosenburgh, seconded by Trustee Mann, to accept the treasurer's report and make it a matter of record also carried. The board approved a motion by Trustee Brucker, seconded by Trustee McCann, to transfer $2,000.00 from account A1990.4 to A7550.4.
Clerk/Treasurer Lynn Taylor presented the village general audit and the wastewater audit; the board approved both audits (general audit motion by Trustee Rosenburgh, seconded by Trustee Brucker; wastewater audit motion by Trustee McCann, seconded by Trustee Brucker). The board designated the Depot as the polling site for the March election; Trustee Mann moved, Trustee Rosenburgh seconded, and the motion carried. Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on March 18, 2026.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m. after a closing motion by Trustee Mann, seconded by Trustee McCann.
