City recommends awarding Fleischmann Pier floating-dock repairs after single bid

Staff told the council they received only one responsive bid (Madeline Marine) for $117,000, which staff judged consistent with prior estimates and specialty procurement circumstances; the bid package showed high view counts but limited downloads, and staff said specified HDPE piles may carry a three-month lead time for other contractors. "The bid that came in, was from Madeline Marine. We only received 1 bid. It was for a $117,000," staff said, and recommended awarding the contract so the work can be completed within one month and be available for the boating season.
