Town Board accepts $7,500 bid to refinish Hopkinton Town Hall floor; one councilmember opposes

Sue Lyon presented a revised bid to refinish the Town Hall main hall hardwood floor and said she "has received a revised cost of $7,500 to complete the refinishing of the main hall floor." Mr. Eakins moved to accept the Specialty Floors LLC bid for $7,500, Ms. French seconded, and the motion passed with Councilperson Burns recorded as Nay.
The minutes state the Town Hall will be unavailable from Sept. 23, 2024 through Oct. 6, 2024 while work is performed. The board did not record additional conditions attached to the award in the minutes.
