Highway Superintendent Crump told the board he "received information regarding a road widener at a cost of $10,000," and described the equipment as useful for town road work. After discussion, Mr. Burns moved to purchase the road widener from Richard Conte for $10,000; the board approved the purchase unanimously.
The minutes also record that the town completed installation of its Town Hall generator and that final pricing on stone and gravel is still pending. Town highway staff will be responsible for integrating the new widener into routine maintenance schedules.
