The Hopkinton Town Board on Sept. 16 approved a budget revision to fund road repairs tied to Hurricane Debby. Ms. Rust offered the resolution, which said in part, "WHEREAS the Town of Hopkinton has declared a State of Emergency due to the effects of Hurricane Debby and the Town of Hopkinton has received major road damages," and the board voted aye across the membership.
The resolution increases the Miscellaneous-Contractual line item DA5140.4 by $38,000, transferred from A201 Cash Savings, to cover the accumulated repair costs. Supervisor Wood, Councilpersons Burns, Eakins, French and Rust recorded affirmative votes. The board did not record any dissenting votes or abstentions for this item.
